Silent Moon
Silent Moon is Melanie Mandl's second stop motion short which she directed in 2008. The project arose from a request by Rich Lee who was working with composer Clint Mansell (who scored many of Darren Aronofsky’s films). Rich was creating video content for Clint’s upcoming live concert in Belgium, and had written a story about a girl who uses the power of the moon to save people from impending war. He approached Mandl after seeing RUN and other work. The project had a small budget and an incredibly challenging deadline.
